My Honest PetSafe FreshFeed Review

I always like to test products in my actual home before writing about them, especially when it comes to my pets.

Pet products can look great online, but the real test is always:

• Was it easy to set up?

• Did the pets actually use it?

• Did it solve a real problem?

So far, the FreshFeed has been one of those products that makes me think of that one Staples commercial where there's a "That wasy Easy" button. Does anyone remember that? 😂 Super easy to set up and use!

Setup was stupid easy

I mean that in the best way.

I plugged it in, opened the PetSafe app, added the device, and it connected so fast.

Because I already use the app for our PetSafe litter boxes, I did not have to download anything new or figure out a whole new system.

It was one of those setups where I was expecting to need a little patience, and then suddenly it was just done.

The best kind of tech setup, honestly. (I'm looking at you...PRINTERS)

Scheduling meals was simple

Once the feeder was connected, setting up the feeding schedule was easy.

This is the part I was most excited about because wet food has always been more hands-on in our house.

Sprout gets wet food twice a day and kibble for lunch. Olive also gets wet food twice a day, and because of her health issues, she has a microchip feeder so she can graze dry food throughout the day.

But having something that can offer her wet food portions on a schedule is really helpful.

It makes it easier to give her more opportunities to eat without me hovering over her like a concerned little gremlin.

Which I absolutely am, but still.

It is quieter than I expected

One thing I always wonder about automatic pet products is whether the sound will scare the animals.
